Religion/Tradition vs Spirituality : The Best Mechanism for life according to your socio-economic standing

Religion and tradition often serve as mechanisms to limit human greed, providing a moral framework that curbs excesses. However, if you are already living a life constrained by poverty, these limitations may not make sense. Religion and tradition seem more applicable to those who are upper class, where they function to balance power and wealth. For people living below the upper class, adopting more practical and pragmatic approaches to spirituality, such as meditation and philosophy, may offer greater benefits. These approaches help individuals explore life without the rigid structures that religion and tradition often impose. They provide a broader understanding of the self and the world, promoting expansion rather than restriction.
Religion and tradition act as limitations. For someone who possesses significant resources, this structure can be useful to manage wealth and prevent excess. On the other hand, spirituality and philosophy are more expansive. If you are middle class or lower, it's beneficial to explore your horizons and discover your true calling through these avenues.

When the upper class embraces spirituality, while the lower classes remain anchored in religion and tradition, the societal balance tips, leading to potential disaster. The equilibrium goes for a toss when the upper class starts squandering resources in the name of discovery while the middle class is too dumb to question the chains that bind them.

Individuals hailing from middle class and lower have the freedom to explore and fail. In fact, this is recommended. With fewer societal and financial pressures, they can take risks, learn from failures, and eventually find their purpose. Spirituality and philosophy offer these individuals the opportunity to challenge their beliefs and grow.

In contrast, if you are in the upper class, you possess substantial resources, and many people may depend on you. Your failures could create ripples throughout society, leading to widespread negative effects. For this reason, it might be wiser for those in the upper class to adopt a more conservative, traditional mindset, limiting wishful thinking and focusing on sustaining wealth.

What do I do if I'm poor?

If you are poor, your first goal will likely be to achieve an upper-middle-class status. Getting a well-paying job is one avenue to reach this goal. However, a better way to rise is by skilling up, freelancing, and building a strong network. Once you have reached a comfortable position financially, you can seriously start your foray into spirituality and philosophy and questioning your beliefs.

So how do I know if I have made into the upper middle class? You will experience fewer anxieties compared to others in the working class thanks to above average income and above average knowledge and experience. You will have developed independent thought, form beliefs outside of mainstream narratives, and have a greater tendency to explore new experiences.

In my opinion the upper-middle is the optimal starting platform for a human. If you are currently at a lower level it is strongly recommended you strive to reach the upper-middle. It is achievable with just enough hardwork and focus.

From the upper-middle platform the challenge is to get into the upper class which either requires having a minimum net worth of 3.25 million USD (at 2024 levels) or being in a position that allows a similar lifestyle. Once you reach the upper class you will have to start getting more traditional and conservative with your resources. Instead of on crazy journeys it's time to be more conservative with where you you get your resources, be more  cooperative and help your brethren. Being more traditional/religious helps with grounding yourself properly.

Conclusion :
Unfortunately, many of the poor are also trapped by religion and tradition, leading to closed-mindedness and a lack of vision. In conclusion, while religion and tradition serve the wealthy by keeping their resources in check, spirituality and philosophy serve the middle and lower classes by expanding their possibilities and encouraging personal growth
